Days Between Dates Calculator

Find the number of days between two dates, including exact spans for deadlines, schedules, and date comparisons.

Best for: Project timeline gap, Rental or booking period

Quick answer

Enter two dates and get the exact day count between them.

Overview

Use this calculator when you need the exact span between two dates for planning, records, or date comparisons. It returns the number of days between a start date and an end date so you can verify timelines without counting manually. The result is useful for understanding project gaps, rental periods, billing ranges, leave requests, and event planning. If your dates cross months or years, the calculator still gives the full interval based on the dates you enter.

FAQ

Does the calculator include both the start date and the end date?

The result is based on the interval between the two selected dates. If you need an inclusive count, you must add one day after checking the displayed difference.

What happens if the end date is earlier than the start date?

The dates must be entered in the correct order for a positive result. If you reverse them, the span is interpreted in the opposite direction or may not match the timeline you expect.

Why is the result not the same as counting days on a calendar by hand?

Manual counting often includes the first or last day by mistake. This calculator reports the actual date gap, so the result can differ from an inclusive count.

Can I use dates from different months or years?

Yes. The calculator works across month and year boundaries, so it is suitable for long gaps as well as short ranges.
