Overview
This tool changes an image from one common format to another without sending the file to a remote server. It is useful when you need a different file type for publishing, sharing, archiving, or opening the image in software that accepts only specific formats. You can move between PNG, JPG/JPEG, and WebP while keeping the process local to your device. That means the original image stays in your browser session, and the converted file is ready as soon as processing finishes. Use it when you need a practical file you can open, upload, or place into a design workflow without extra steps.

FAQ
Will transparency stay in the converted file?
Only formats that support transparency can preserve it. PNG keeps transparency, while JPG removes it because the format does not support alpha channels.
Why does a JPG look different from the original image?
JPG is a lossy format, so fine details, edges, and flat color areas can change slightly during conversion. That is expected behavior.
Can every image be converted to every supported format?
Most standard PNG, JPG/JPEG, and WebP files can be converted, but the output still depends on whether the source image is readable in the browser.
What if the converted file name is not what I want?
The tool generates a filename based on the source file and the selected format. You can rename the downloaded file after saving it.
